Why does every female wear shorts

My Mom and my GF's are always nagging me to start wearing shorts in the hot weather, I'm not a shorts person, so I wear long pants & jeans all summer. Today it started getting hot out in Texas, and a couple of the female neighbors were sitting outside across the street and me & my Mom were sitting on are porch. Everyone was wearing long pants or jeans and the weather started getting warm well one of the women accross street went in to change into shorts, and came back out. then her friend went in to and put her shorts on too and came back out too. Over the next few minutes all the females they were outside all changed into their shorts Then my Mom tells me she's getting too hot in her jeans and she's going in to change into shorts too. I'm like geez everyones copying. My Mom comes back outside wearing her shorts and says how much cooler she feels. She then asks me ain't you hot in them jeans and you should start wearing shorts, It's riduclous for you to torture yourself wearing jeans in this heat, besides you're a women and you have got nice legs too and you should show them. My mom went to the store, so for the heck of it, I took my jeans off and put on a pair of her shorts and went into the back yard to see how they feel, before I had chance to get the feel of the shorts, my mom came back for her cell phone and sees me wearing her shorts, She has a big smirk on her face and says to me well it's about time you came to your senses and you look great wearing shorts and she jwill take me shopping for shorts tomorrow afterschool, She wants me to wear these shorts to school tomorrow, She says finally you look like the other girls, what should I do, My friends have never see me in shorts before ?

I don't see a problem with wearing shorts, so you might as well try it and see if people like it. Besides, if people don't like the way you look, then who are they to judge? There's really no harm in wearing them and there's no need to be afraid judgement.

Fuckin stay in your jeans and tell ur mom to stop trying to change your look/style. You don't have to conform to others demands, be happy with your own self.

I personally like shorts but that's just me :p Not every girl likes shorts though, and you need to tell them that you don't want to. Stick to what you normally wear, don't let them force you into wearing things you don't like.

I as a guy think it's attractive when girls wear shorts, but everyone is different.
It's all about what you like not about what other people like anyways.

I love shorts. They're comfortable, and keep you cool when it's hot. I've never had any issues with them, and I'm not sure I understand why you do.

I wear shorts every summer and spring in Texas. I like pants too but the heat is too much. Try it and if you like the shorts then wear them, if not then wear your pants. I am outside a lot so I have to stay cool.
