Unable to pee at urinals

For some reason, if I'm at a urinal and another guy comes up next to me, I just can't physically pee. It's so awkward because I always worry in case they think I'm just standing at the urinals to be a pervert - since I'm not actually doing anything. Does this happen to anyone else?

Also, do you find it awkward to use the urinals if you're with a group of friends? For some reason, I always wait until my friends have been to the toilets before I go in.

Ur not alone. Sometimes I use a cubicle (or stall) for that reason.

As Pjones mentioned, it's called paruresis, or shy bladder syndrome. Don't worry, there's nothing physical about the cause, just psychological. When we go to the toilet, urination is usually performed in private. So to go to a public setting to pass urine is more out of the norm than what we expect. It's almost like how we pause in unfamiliar settings to get our bearings. For most people, they pause at urinals too for similar reasons. Don't worry, it's just a matter of training yourself mentally to do it more at ease.

I had that problem, and what I did to fix it was stand way back at the urinal when you're there alone, and if someone is beside you, slowly work your way back. Don't show off but just a bit back. Also count back from 10, that helped me and I'm not pee-shy anymore :)

Exactly, stalls just take too long. Plus I don't care who sees my dick. Its not like my 4.5 inch peeing dick will be etched in their memory forever. When I was younger I had a urinal problem, but that was probably because I was embarrassed of my size since Not every guy has the dick of a 8 year old! Sometimes I hardly get close to the urinal, I think if you set your mind to not caring about others and just stare at the floor, you will get over your problem. I've had that problem before. What I tried to do is start in stalls and after a while try urinals again. That's what worked for me not sure if it would work for you but you can always try!

I'm going to sound like an old fart, but if this was the war, then there will be no stalls to hide in. just rows of toilets and urinals with no dividers or walls. I would say practice getting used to it by peeing with your friends. Or when someone comes up just close your eyes and don't worry keep on pissing. I had this problem when I was like 8, now I am able to stand at a trough and pee with my hands on my hips or while texting on my phone. You grow out of it I guess.

I think there were a couple times when I was a little slow to get the flow started, but it was when I barely had to go. Normally if I'm using a urinal, I'm at school and I need to go pretty bad, and I have no problem getting started. But if I've been holding on so long that I got hard, I kind of have to relax the muscles a little to let it flow when I'm really hard.

At the same time if you really want to get over it, put it in your mind that if they want to look at your penis, then its fine. stand back a little and let them look. If you can learn to do that, it helps a lot.
