I was just wondering if anyone knows about this or has any experience with it or has some stories of someone you know. Even if you havent heard of it, search around and share your opinion of it.

There is a girl in my class that may have this. She thinks she has cancer, mono, and I don't even know what else. Her glasses are fake from a psychiatrist and she takes placebos. I thinks its bad. Everyone hates her, but I feel sorry for her. She doesn't know nothing is physically wrong wtih her.

Pianoman, that's called being a hypochondriac. Someone with Münchhausen's by Proxy, will deliberately hurt their child, or make them appear ill, so that they can get the attention, or so that they can save the day and feel like a hero. They often don't realize that they are seriously hurting the child, and a victim of this may spend a majority of their childhood in the hospital, undergoing treatments, even surgeries, for illnesses they do not actually have. I think you were thinking of plain old Münchhausen's, in which the patient makes themselves sick, again often for the attention. But that's different from thinking you have an illness. These people may actually think they have the illness they are pretending to have, but the difference between them and a hypochondriac, is that the hypochondriac doesn't make themselves sick.
