Difference between a man crush or gay

being gay is having romantic and sexual attraction exclusively towards someone of the same gender. (with the exception of someone who could be aromantic or asexual)
a man crush... well I guess that would extreme admiration for the person but not necessarily romantic or sexual desire.

My Example - Man Crush on Kevin Spacey, that mofo is amazing. I don't find him physically attractive. I admire him and his work.

Gay for a mate of mine, definitely find him physically attractive. Would definitely go sexual with him, unlike spacey.

This, basically, answers it. I think being gay also has to do with sexual interest, though, as well. Other than that, she's completely right.

i'd say if you're infatuated with him, but have no interest in the idea of making out with him, it's a man crush.
