I asked a while ago if dating a guy that was 23 when im 14 is too much of an age gap everyone said yes and it was dangerous, and I think they are right, wot about someone that was 17 or 18, do u think that's still too much of a gap? i like a guy that's almost 18, dunno if hes gay or bi yet but, would he think im too young maybe? would any guys here that's 17 or 18 consider someone that's 14?

Personally, I'd never date a 14 year old person, but it all depends on the level of maturity and development of the people involved. For instance, I'm 17, but some people tell me I could easily pass for 15. In your case, the age gap might still be a bit large, but the maturity and psychophysical development might not be that large, so it might work. The problem is, you need to know if he's gay/bi, if he's into you as well and if he agrees on dating a 14 year old boy like you, so, make sure to check that before going any further.

It's not as dangerous as a 23-14 age difference, but could still be a problem. 14-16 tho would be a fine gap.

I've dated people who were 18/19 when I was 14/15, it all depends on your maturity levels and emotional stability more than anything. Sure, sometimes it won't work because at that ages, people are at different stages in their lives, they have a different perception of things, etc. If you personally think you could date someone older/with an age difference that is definitely apparent, I don't see why not. You do need to make sure the other person feels the same though, otherwise it's just useless, so I don't really see any issue with it.
