So this game is due out on the 27th and will be launching on Xbox 360, PS3, PS4 and Xbox One. There is a Wii U version but release dates aren't out for that yet but people are predicting a Autumn launch.
Watch Dogs is a hacking game, where you take control of a modern vigilant and you have a cell phone which allows you to control parts of the city and also know information about all NPCs.
So I was wondering for those who have looked into the game. What do you think of it?
Personally I've pre-ordered the game as it does look cool and well...next gen consoles don't have much out right now.

It looks cool, but it's not on the top of my game list at the moment. Although I do like the hacker theme of it.

I've preordered it. I like the look of it but I don't particularly want people coming into my game and keep on hacking me. The devs have said there's a way to keep you off of that 'list' so hopefully it'll be effective. Other than that, the game looks awesome! :)

The game looks pretty cool. Sadly, I don't think it will come out to Windows.

Yeah I really can't wait for this game, but it's coming for PC too right? You didn't mention PC.

I'm very hesitant on this game. It's gotten pushed back multiple times and I really don't think it'll live up to the hype it first generated. I'm going to wait a couple days after it comes out before deciding to buy it. I'd be much more comfortable with buying it after the initial launch and the official reviews are out.
By contrast, I'm fully comfortable with preordering Arkham Knight because what the studio has done in the past (Arkham Asylum and Arkham City).

That's a great way to not get burned. Arkham Knight is one of those games that I know I will love and I know will be a great game. I'm not confident at all about Watch Dogs. I feel bad for people that really look forward to a game months in advance, pay the full $60, and find out that the game turns out to be utter crap (SimCity comes to mind).

I think the game has the potential to go two ways, it could go well and be remembered as a great game like The Last Of Us, or it could be a bit of a disappointment. I like the idea, and the game seems to have incorporated as much as it can in the way if gameplay and graphics. However the game just doesn't interest me very much for some reason, I just don't see the reason for the hype, perhaps its the vonpleate controls of a hole city. But I just don't really care to much about it, but that's just me.
I'm sure its going to be a great game anyway.

In my experiance big developers like Ubisoft pull of good reviews even when a game only mediocre.
If a big title gets 7 out of 10 then you know it should be a 5.
The only sites you can trust are the ones where the public give it a rating and that rating is the calculated to show the review score as a whole of the community.

It's Ubisoft. It will suck, though probably not because of the game mechanics themselves, but the bloatware bullshit, social media connectivity, instant gratification mechanics, hand-holding and probably some kind of "always online" shtick will ruin it.
I never buy anything from Ubisoft at full price.
I'll wait until Steam does a 75% sale on the title if it turns out to be any good. If it is really good I might Somalia it then wait for the sale.

The game has 5 pre-order packages. What. The. Fuck. It's not even a sequel to a game with an established fan base. Talk about arrogance.
I honestly hope it flops hard so that the industry will realize that they're idiots.

Personally I couldn't disagree more. Every company bringing out a AAA game does this and they tend to be a lot worse.
Anyway why do you care about how many pre-order packages the game has?

The game mechanics and free world theme seem very interesting. My only complaint is how wishy-washy they are about resolution and realism.

Well the scary thing is the realism is actually possible if you had one computerised system in place then it is theoretically possible someone could have said system and have control over said system.
As for resoloution I can agree that it would be nice if next gen consoles could have 1080p with the game and still have a rock solid 30 FPS. However all open world games have to come at a price and I'm happy enough with 990p and 30 FPS on PS4. Its worse for Xbox One....PC can obviously handle much better.
Oh and I wouldn't trust Youtube videos as a soruce for how good or bad a game looks because once you compress everything and render, you loose a lot of quality.

looks like a cool game, but it doesn't look very original or new. I'd get bored of it fast.

Reviews aren't too impressive. I'm looking into some gameplay and such right now, may buy it if I'm super interested. Otherwise I'll save my money and watch a play-through.

Should I buy Watch Dogs or Infamous Second Son for the ps4? I already bought Thief and Killzone and they were both incredibly disappointing. I'd prefer not to be disappointed again.

Got it yesterday and played for a little bit. So far it's fun. :) It's more or less like a GTA game with hacking. :P
