I'm talking about my favorite musican of all time, not the 17th century French philosopher. I absolutely love him, but haven't heard anyone on here even mention him. Shame! :P His music is wierd, and doesn't really fit into any genre. It's sorta like, cuban gothic folk. God his voice is beautiful. 8) One minute, I'm laughing my ass off listening to him sing about coming out as gay for christmas( he's straight btw. has a wife and kid) or make fun of Star Trek Voyager, and the next I'm curled in a ball crying while he sings about a lover committing suicide or being rejected by God( The songs from the viewpoint of Satan, it's really interesting.) But if you dislike his music, I won't hold it against you.......prick.. :D Here are some of his songs.

When you're evil is a really good song.

I love When You're Evil, and it's a great song, but I feel like most people don't take him seriously after hearing it. I mean honestly, it sounds like the themesong for a Disney villain. So many of his songs are so much deeper than that one, and even though it's a really great, fun song sometimes I feel like that's all he gets credit for as a Musican. What about Feathery Wings, or I'm sorry, or Crusade? Again, nothing against the song itself though.

I've heard a little Voltaire mainly because he tends to get grouped with artists I listen to (Emilie Autumn, The Dresden Dolls, Rasputina, Abney Park, William Control, all the darkwave, steampunk, dark cabaret genres, etc.) He's cool, never really explored his music though.

AND TONIIIIIIIIIIIIGHT I'M RIDING A BLACK UNICORN DOWN THE SIDE OF AN ERUPTING VOLCANO

Yeah I like Voltaire, particularly Riding a Black Unicorn (you know the rest). I'm pretty anyone who's ever played AQ(Worlds) has heard his music at some point or another.
