Ok so i was on a threadboard yesterday and there was a post about vaginas, specifically the labia. The guys in this thread thought (being honest about it) that labia size lengthened with the ammount of sex a female has. is this normal? is this what some guys are taught? or were they just a little confused? because i am dumbfounded that guys still think something like that!:what:

I think some guys think that the labia stretch from the friction of having sex, just like the vagina becomes looser with sex. I know that many girls are born with larger labia than some, just like many boy's penises are different sizes, so don't worry I'm a guy and I know that many large labias are what girls were born with and I think they're sexy.

because it seems boys are absolute sponges for misinformation :p
I agree that it seems to be an extension of the "loose vaginas" belief

Same here I know labias can vary in size and I think it's great. It's just one more thing that makes every girl unique. I have never been taught such a thing, but I have heard of some surgeries that woman have to change the size of their labia majora.

Technically, the labia is not the vagina. Seems like the confusion is more widespread than thought.

So if I am understanding you correctly, the vaginal opening is whete the vagina begins?

The external genitalia structures are collectively called the vulva. This not only includes the labia, but also the clitoris, external glands and introitus. The introitus is the opening to the vagina, which is the passageway which leads to the uterus (also known as the womb).
Here is a simplified diagram of this: http://www.cdc.gov/CANCER/00_images/gynecologic/PelvicIllustration.jpg
Hope that helps.
