The battlefield series has done me well.
Started with Battlefield 1943, then bfbc2 (which is amazing btw), then Bf3, now Bf4.
Every game is completely different.
And they're all great :)
Especially on my PC

I personally think bad company 2 is more suited for consoles but that's just me

Yes you shoot stuff in a first person perspective, but I would say the Portal games are puzzle games with platforming elements. FPS are usually defined by your ability to use a gun/s to directly destroy an enemy. I've never seen either Portal games being described as an FPS as it only contains one element from FPS games.

Also no mention of Deus Ex, Unreal Tournament and System Shock 2. My disappointment grows.

I forgot to mention, I played 1943, bfbc2, and bf3 on ps3.
And i've played bf3, and bf4 on PC.

But yes bfbc2 on console is amazing :)

the Halo franchise is overhyped IMO, really the only purpose of console exclusives is to boost console sales. there are plenty of people who will actually buy a console just to play one or two hyped up titles.

I have recently played Halo 4.., overall it is an fairly entertaining game.

I don't think you can yet class Titanfall as a series with only one game and another in development.

However I'd have to go with COD. I've got some seriously long stats on that game. Recent titles aren't as fun but I must have spent like a total of 63 days playing CoD MW2 and even more on WAW.

Voting CoD before you see the option for 'Other' D: so yeah I'd actually say Borderlands 1 & 2 are my favourites by far

Titanfall is the one for me. I am the only voter for Titanfall, but it isn't a series so I am not sure that it belongs here. It has become my favorite FPS by far.

While I'm not much of a FPS type of guy, I chose battlefield because it's a lot more realistic than Call of Duty because it has larger maps and sourses tell me that the Weapons are more realistic as well.

Another upside is that Battlefield is less populated by eight year-olds that all seem to have had sex with my mother.

Killing Floor, I don't know why, the game's so simple yet I love it. Lots of people are annoyed by the random slomos but tbh it's something that eagers me to play more.
One thing that does bother me quite a bit is the servers (ps. those are made by other players). Upon entering a new server you have to download a map and whatnot (some other stuff the player added). That's why I give up playing online time to time and just go to the offline mode. |:
