I use my right hand. I think people use the left hand because its referred to as 'sinistra dextra' (sinistra equals evil) in Latin and masturbation has a negative connotation due to the Church and society.

By and large I'd have thought that most people use their dominant hand usually, as this is what they are more dextrous with. Occasionally people probably use the alternate hand for variation. At least in the thread so far, most people do seem to be using their dominant hand - which is the right side for most people.
