By the way, I don't mean to set up a stereotype, I know smart people can be great looking and vice versa with muscular guys. In this case though, if one of them was a good looking jockish guy and the other was a smart and skinnier guy, who would you go out with?

I would rather date someone with a good personality who had the capacity to love me and make a relationship work. Someone who is responsible and mature when they need to be, someone who can be laidback and fun when life doesn't require them to be serious.

Brains vs brawn is really kind of a shallow question.

Intelligent people aren't ugly, that's a stupid stereotype. Looks can be more or less changed, it is much harder to change someone's personality.

I gotta agree with Katey I don't like questions like this. Way too stereotypical and not in a good way unfortunately. Answering the question; it is always the heart that got to me first. If he's funny, mature and caring then he has a very good chance of winning me over. Looks is certainly #2 in my list. In fact, half of the entire population of my school would agree my ex is ugly as fuck. Still, in my eyes back then, he's absolutely cute.

yeah there's still so much more to it unfortunately. Brain alone won't get you dates. So do good looks and muscles. We need personality.
