Is it normal to still have wet dreams at 17? I know they are a normal part of "growing up" etc. but shouldn't they stop at some point?

I'm not sure, but it seems that they never stop, only become less frequent. It all depends on how much you masturbate/have sex, and I think that they become less frequent with age.

For me they only happen when I haven't jerked off for quite a while.

Far as I know the body is always making cum, and gets rid of any excess.

Conventional wisdom seems to be that they lessen with advancing age though I have no personal experience and no figures to quote.
Often people here have commented that they are less common or may stop completely if you regularly ejaculate some other way, for example masturbating or having sex. Certainly at 17 you are very much in your prime as far as producing lots of cum is concerned so maybe you need to cum deliberately more often.

I'd say your body does level off eventually on the amount of cum it produces. If you don't really J/O, then yes it's still possible

as your body grows in puberty you produce lots of testosterone as you sleep. That is one cause of wet dreams but its no exact deal. so as you mature you produce less and your body is used to it.
