To answer OP, the only thing that is physically necessary is a cute smile. Nice hair is a good feature as well. Personality wise, someone who is mature, responsible, but not too serious. A good sense of humour is good, and so is being able to be down-to-earth.

And a good taste in music is extremely hot.
