Penis position and curve

So, a little background first, my penis when hard curves down and I have always had my penis pointing down when soft and hard. My friend, however, curves to the left and points his penis to the left when soft and hard. Therefore, I was wondering whether the positioning of your penis affects your penis curve.

By the looks of it, penis position when soft does effect penis curve when hard. Just my observation.

Also usually left when soft
Straight up and slightly to the left when hard
Slight left curve.
