I haven't cut myself in about a month or two. The problem is that I can't stop thinking about when I can do it next. I look at my scars and I want more of them. I just don't know what's wrong with me...

I understand, the longest I have gone without cutting is a few days so I cant imagine how hard its been for you not doing it for that long, but cutting is always on my mind, its hard to get it out of ur head when u have started it I think :(

I don't know what else to say other than try and stay strong and away from cutting. I don't cut myself but have cried myself to sleep more than once recently over family troubles and cutting has crossed my mind. Surround yourself with positive people who will help you out in a crisis. I'm sure there are plenty of people like that on VT.

I don't understand why people do this. I used to be bullied before and i hated my life. but I have never tried to cut myself. I was to much of a woos to cut my self. I would instead scratch my arm until it bled really badly. I have great sympathy for you. I hope you can stop. what ever it is that is causing you to cut your self, its not worth it. believe me it gets better. Don't let those people get to you.

You actually are in a REALLY good position right now (relatively speaking), you are at the point where you have made it far enough to where you have broken or are close to breaking the addiction you may have developed to cutting! Cutting is just like doing a drug, the first few weeks being sober are the hardest, but after a while it becomes easier. You keep thinking now when can I do it next, but if you just stay strong for a few more weeks you will be thinking "Why did I do that in the first place?", like any addiction, after so long you grow a habit of not doing it anymore, and you become accustomed to a life without cutting. I wish you the best of luck! As stupid as it sounds and as many times as you have heard it "Just say no" it really works, weather it is someone offering you drugs, or thinking about cutting, Just saying no to the impulse you have really does work.
