How long till you can ask a girl out?

Hi Guys,

I know a girl who I really really want to date. She has or is about to break up with her boyfriend, how long should I wait? I definitely don't want to impose and I know the boyfriend fairly well and see him at least three times a week so its a tricky situation. Any help?

Yeah tricky one. I'd at least leave a few weeks or so. Just be there for her as a friend first and see from there. It will help you see where she's at with relationships as some girls need ages to get over a boyfriend, like months.

If she's just breaking up, you don't want to step in too soon and spark any fires. Just befriend her and wait until she's ready to start seeing you exclusively. This will also help you avoid stepping on the other guy's toes.

Pretty much sums it up.
Just be there for her as much as you can, make sure not to get into the infamous friendzone though. I'd give it a few weeks, maybe longer depending how long she was with the boy.

Nobody likes to rush things once they just got out a relationship, you especially dont want to get friend zoned. Wait a few weeks, perhaps a month and then start speaking to her more and more and go on from there!
