I figured this was tech related.

SO i have a CB in my truck, a cobra 19 DXIII, everytime the base of the mic cord moves it just goes silent. everytime i use it i have to reconnect the mic. its in there tight and its screwed down all the way. anyone know what else could be wrong?

Well that's certainly an unusual problem for a forum like this :P

My guess is that the cord is broken near the base(on the inside), perhaps because something sharp or heavy was set on it, or it was pulled too hard.

If you can try another cord and it does the same thing, you can rule out that it's the cord.

Its the tech forum. Figured it would be the best place :P not my fault not everyone has a CB in their vehicle :P
