my closest friends dont accept me for who i am now

I have had these friends for years and these past few months i have change just so i can keep myself happy and not depressed and shit, ive always been into metal and rock n roll and thats how i met my bestfriends i have had long hair and i wear leather, chains and all that shit just because i like it and think it looks cool and when i started listening to black veil brides because douche bag metal heads that dont accept anything thats new... but thats pretty much my best friends i do love them to death but it just annoys me how they dont accept how ive changed and it makes me not want to be around them but i have been to hell and back and we have carried each other more times then i can count, the 3 of us are just like a little gang. what should i do?

Go talk to them and tell them how you feel. I have this little group of friends as well. I'm not a fan of heavy metal and would never dress like you do, but at least if any of us changed drastically we won't quickly shun them. Like you said we've been through hell and back together. It won't be that easy. What they're doing now is probably just a side effect of the adjustment period. Everything that changes too fast too much shocks people. But if they really are your close friends (and they probably really are!) they won't dump you just like that. Never.

Tell them how you feel. If they don't accept you, they're not true friends and even though it may be tough, it might be time to move on. If they do accept you, which I hope they will, you guys can go back to being very close friends again and you can be assured that they love you for who you are. So yeah, talk to them and decide what to do afterwards. I hope everything goes well.
