HTC, because I own an HTC one M7. But why their better I'm my opinion is that HTC sense is better then Samsung touchwiz, less lag, more fluid interface.

I have a HTC, had 2 but not had a samsung. I personally would say to fuck away android altogether, too many apps and filled up storage. Go with either, just make sure you pick a decent phone - my phone has 2GB of "other" Storage and no way to clear it. It's a HTC Desire X, the Desire C I had was better before it broke in this sense other than the size...

Between the two, I like HTC, since their phones look much better and more expensive. Also, Samsung's line of phones is very confusing.

Im a tech nerd and tbh you cant choose between the two its all your opinion, if you go for look then htc one m8 no doubt, if you want a good camera and stuff you go samsung but if i were you i would go with htc or consider the nexus 5 or lg i have a nexus 5 and its by far the best phone out there.

internally they're both pretty identical. The only differences are the design choices and the interface. so really you'd just have to play around with both of them and decide which one you like better.

Hardware is pretty much the same across all mid-high end phones (except iPhones, where they have specs equal to that of about a ~$200 android phone though cost ~$500+).

The only real difference is the android suite used. I've not played around either Samsung or HTC phones enough to overly decide which I would prefer so can't really comment on that side of things.

If you're trying to choose a phone to buy, I'd still personally say neither of those two; Buy something like a Nexus 5. Same hardware, cheaper price, more raw android experience. Can't overly go wrong.
