It it true that I am here

a day which many would call fair

Yet I am her ..Here so cold

who could have known that me

That Guy so innocent and sweet

kind smart angelic

Would be so sore and and stressed full of emotions of hurt and regret

Alas I am here, here alone

alone to sit wondering in the cold

At least so we thought

would be so hurt and upset over this cruel world he
would often fret

No one ever paid him the time of day

Beyond his eyes I see
In a world of his own
What seems to be…
Emotions thoughts trapped some way
Just trying to say…
You I see – your hands flapping
Mumbling, grunting, your head bopping
Back and forth in your seat
Rocking rhythmically to your
Own endless beat.
If only I could understand
What’s happening to Dan!
I glimpse at him, his eyes at bay
A smile from the nurse
Drives him deeper in his rhythmic way.
An out-stretched hand from the doc
Says it’s ok –

Beyond the door and white sheets

Away from the flickering lights,

To a place where was no more
Discomfort, frustration, being blue
A place where he could say,
“I want…. I can…. I know now…
