Any realistic survival games?

Hi,I was wondering if anyone knows any games like...s.t.a.l.k.e.r. (I think that they are called rpg's,right?) ,but without zombies or at least with very little of them and with no monsters,spaceships and other stuff like that,basically s.t.a.l.k.e.r. or gta (open world element) type but with survival elements like food for instance,I heard about dead island,which does have zombies,but I am not sure if it is more like a survival game or more like CoD where you just run and shoot at zombies which would be unrealistic,which is exactly the opposite of what I am searching for.Also how good is dayz? Again zombies I think,but I don't know a lot about it..

Maybe Rust or 7 Days to Die. 7DTD is a zombie survival, so IDK. Maybe try Minecraft? When you install a few mods or a modpack like Tekkit, Feed the Beast or Voltz, it makes it more interesting. The S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games are awesome, too bad they cancelled S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2.

Dayz is super realistic, if that's what you're going for..

I agree definately 7 days to die. You could try the Fallout game (Fallout 3 and New Vegas) maybe you would like them....not sure

Rust, Arma 2 wasteland mod or dayz, and what red.astrix said Fallout could count but it's not very realistic with monsters in it but all fallout games are great.

You don't want Dead Island if you're looking for survival, most definitely not, not only is the game passable as it is but it's not very realistic.

I'd say the survival mode in Fallout New Vegas is what you want, because you'll get the fantastic Fallout experience with the realistic survival aspect you are searching for.

Rust is certainly a good survival game but I would suggest playing with someone because otherwise collecting and building can be laborious and then protecting the base on your own is a hard task on certain servers. DayZ is certainly my favourite game at the moment. The standalone version is still in alpha but still offers fun moments but again because of the high number of KoS it's best to play with others. For that reason, I have started to play the mod, particularly DayZRP in which you have to be whitelisted, but it offers great interaction with other players because of the factions and roleplaying. If you want singleplayer then the Forest has come onto Steam early access... I have yet to play it but it looks great from what I have seen and heard

There is a new survival game out that's called "The forest". It looks great fun. I think it's in Alfa right now.
Your plane crashes and your left in a forest surrounded by blood thirsty cannibals....so go on....survive!
It looks, freaking, awesome.
