It is kind of hard to explain how to shave in words, and my suggestion is that you try to find a male relative to give you a hand with your first shave. If that is not possible, then the following video might be able to give you a hand: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ixM10qw_wTQ There are a lot of videos out there that can give you advice, but it is always best to have someone around who has shaved before to give you a hand. Even if a friend who has shaved before can help you, then that would work out, too.

I said this on another thread just a minute ago about the same exact subject, so I'm just gonna copy and paste it here. I said this:

"I would recommend getting a manual razor to start with. I have just a basic three-blade manual razor and I have some shaving gel. I'm not sure if you're supposed to do it this way, but it's worked for me for the past couple months that I've been shaving and I haven't cut myself at all, but what I do is get men's shaving gel and put some in your hand and make it foamy and then put it where you need it, shave, and you're fine. Don't press too hard, too. You might want to put warm water on your face where you're going to shave it, Idk when I started to shave I looked it up and it said to so I went with it and still do it like that. It's really simple, it may take about 10-15 minutes your first time because you've never done it before, but that's okay.

To answer if you're ready to shave, then yes. I started when I had a few noticeable hairs on my chin and a bunch of hair on my upper lip. I needed to shave, badly... lol But seriously, if you live near/with your dad, he can help you. (Honestly, my mom helped me the first time, but I really didn't need much help, it's really simple...)

God, I just noticed this is a lot, but hopefully I helped...? If you need any more help, just ask. I'll answer anything."
