*note* i live in america

so far statistics say that america has THE most criminals in jail currently. is this good or bad? is it because america has a good police department or because america has a lot of haters? *edit after like 10 minz?* another question, do you think more people who live in america are affiliated with crime because they do not like the government, or do you think its just cause they are criminals? also, what do you think about the police, too strict or not strict enough?

statistics also say this:
1 in 99 caucasian people are in jail

1 in 42 hispanic (spanish?) people are in jail

1 in 18 african american people are in jail

*in america*

do you think this has any significance? i wanna hear other peoples opinions. i dont want anything racial going on here.

so far statistics say that America has THE most criminals in jail currently. is this good or bad? This is very bad! is it because America has a good police department or because America has a lot of haters? America has a lot of idiot criminals, and a decent Police Force *edit after like 10 minutes?* another question, do you think more people who live in America are affiliated with crime because they do not like the government, or do you think its just cause they are criminals? It rarely has anything to do with the government, Its just criminals also, what do you think about the police, too strict or not strict enough? They are just fine I think, at least from my experiences with them

1 in 42 Hispanic (Spanish?) people are in jail

1 in 18 African American people are in jail

On the above statistics, I have a few opinions

1) African Americans do not fall into crime because of their skin color. It has to do with the fact that the large majority of them are in rough neighborhoods(same goes for a number of Hispanics), and they just sort of are born into crime

2) A black man will usually get a higher sentence than a white man in the prison system

3) A white man in the US prison system has a much higher chance of getting parole than a black man; they typically have to serve their whole sentence

So race really is an issue here, the prison system is very much race oriented. Or perhaps thats the entire American society in general

A lot of people are in prison for stupid offenses related to marijuana, so part of it is overly-strict laws on marijuana. We do have a pretty violent society in general, though.

Have any of you ever seen a drug deal gone bad (I haven't but my cousin has) things can get real ugly quick alot of stealing and even murders are caused because an addict needs his fix so don't blame it on the drug laws blame it on the idiots who abuse it and cause it to get stricter

It depends on the drugs Darkwing. I doubt many have been killed over MArijuana, however Cocaine, Meth, and Ecstasy are diff. stories. Lets not generalise here

That makes him an idiot. That's like killing someone over a bottle of beer. It's not physically addictive, it's just mental like alcohol.
