I know this might be a stupid question, and if it's already been asked then I apologize for asking it again. I've noticed that on certain topics that have been around for a while that there are posts that were made by people that have been banned. Just wondering why their posts are still there if they've been banned from the site?

It would mess up the conversation. The thread wouldn't make sense.

When banned members are the OP of threads - When you see that, a staff member has probably made the decision to keep the thread open. There are a lot of threads that were started by now banned members - such as this one (http://virtualteen.org/forums/showthread.php?t=169748) - where it is a very popular thread, or the topic of the thread could be considered a common question...which doesn't involve a personal problem that needs to be "resolved."
As far as individual posts goes - that depends sometimes on what the person was banned for. If they are an advertiser or have been completely inappropriate to others on the forums (pictures, soliciting, etc...) there is a good chance that a lot, if not all, of their posts will be deleted. But like others have said, deleting all posts for all banned members would make a lot of threads unreadable, because of the gaps in the thread.
Of course, any member can request any of their posts to be deleted too. That happens sometimes.

This kind of goes with this question, in Puberty 101, I sometimes see threads that are very inappropriate, like some are basically like erotic stories and stuff, and are always locked. Shouldn't they just be removed instead of moved to puberty 101, or wherever else? Maybe most of them are, I've only seen a few, and not all the OP are banned.

Unless the OP is banned for a pretty bad reason, we usually don't like to mess with post counts. Also, if we had to PM for each thread deleted instead of just locked, all of our time would be completely taken up. That's why a lot of them are locked and moved. You can see the reason right there on the lock post. Of course, like I said above...it's up to the discretion of whichever moderator is handling it.
Also, the threads you claim to be somewhat inappropriate...the ones that are deleted are much worse, trust me.
