I myself don't self abuse but I have a friend that does. I try to give her my best advice but I'm not sure if it's enough and I'm worried.

well your not really giving us anything to go with. so why not tell us how you are giving her your best advice :) and also, forward her the list of ways to stop thread if you are unsure of what to do.

She was sexually abused as a child by her brother, and he recently came back into her life. He hasn't done anything but it's bringing back bad memories for her. I told her that she should try to stay away from as much as she can, but that's really all I know how to do .

Yeah, it must be hard for her to deal with her abusive brother coming back into her life. Has she told many people about this? Is there someone she trusts a lot that she can talk to about how she is feeling about things? Dealing with this kind of can be very tough and often people need a lot of help to deal with the memories if it isn't going to get the better of them. Be there for her encourage her to tell a trusted person about it so that she can share her feelings.
