Could be more serious, could just be having a hot day. If it continues and you are worried, see a doctor.

When you have an erection it is likely to be hotter.

Your blood will be at your body's core temperature usually around 37C or 98.6F. You skin is usually cooler. How much cooler depends on the air temperature and how close to the surface your blood circulates. if you are too hot the body dilates the blood vessels near the surface to let more blood flow there, your skin becomes warmer and thus gets rid of the execess heat (this work in conjuction with sweating). If your are too cold the body constricts those same blood vessels so the blood stays more in the core of the body where it will lose less heat and your skin temperature will fall.

So, when you have an erection there is in the extra blood in your penis needed to give you the erection and it is quite close to the surface of the skin so the skin on your penis will likely be warmer than the skin on the rest of your body.

This is partly why a flaccid (non-erect) penis shrivels up if you go swimming in cold water - the body lessens the amount of blood in it to conserve heat.

Um, probably just blood going to it. I know when I get a boner it gets really warm sometimes. It's normal, imo.
