I remember that during my doctor's appointment I had to wear only socks, boxers and a shirt (which was always long-sleeved), so I don't think you'll have to lift your sleeves for any reason. Al least you'll have to lift one of them to your elbow in order to take your blood pressure, but nothing else, I suppose.

I don't know what happens at a physical, I don't think we have them in the UK(?) but even if they do make you lift your sleeve they (probably) won't ask you about it coming from my experiences at numerous doctors appointments which required me to show some pretty nasty scars. If they do (and they're actually scarred over and not fresh cuts) use the excuse that you were going through a rough patch a few years back but you've gotten past that stage now. Hopefully they won't ask any more about it.

Just say you don't want to take it off. I have never heard of anyone arguing with that. They didn't when I was little and still don't now. Never has anyone had a problem with it for me. Just say you aren't comfortable with it and insist. Nobody, not even your doc has the right to unclothe you without your consent. (Less it was an emergency)

Just keep some sleeves on or cover it with a sweatband, what ever works. I doubt they will even say a word when you don't put a gown on or refuse.

Depends if it's a standard check up or full exam. For standard you will need to roll a sleeve up for blood pressure. But the nurse who takes that is usually kind on in a hurry. If you have a long sleeve t-shirt on, would probably wrap the cuff around the sleeve. The doctor would probably use the stethoscope by putting it up your shirt.

they always have me pull up my sleeve to take my blood pressure but im pretty sure u can refuse but if ur mom is in the room that might look suspisous so just cover them up with makeup or a temp tattoo if u think the makeup might rub off ive gotten away with having my blood pressure taken five times in one day without anyone noticing by covering them up with temp tattos and makeup

Usually when my doctor takes my blood pressure he just puts it over my sleeve. If you're worried about them making you take off your shirt just refuse it or put make up on over your scars.

My doctor normally takes my blood pressure. She always makes me change into one of those paper gown things though so they are visible. :/ But, besides blood pressure she never really needs to see my arm.
