hey guys,
why do we boys get so much more pain when we get kicked in the balls then just agains your leg or something? I dont really see a reason for that other then a sign of weakness. I know everyone has it and some more then others but why would we have it in the first place?! Does anyone agree? I myself don't have as much pain as other boys and I recover faster. Because of this I can sit with my legs crossed when in school or at the dinner table. The only downside is that people may start to think I have a small penis. It's 7" so that not true at all. how resistent are you guys and do you know the reason for our only weakness? :P

The reason why is that there are lots of nerves on our balls, and hitting them is similar to pinching so when you hit them hard it really hurts! I can tell you mine hurt alot when someone kicks them.

we scream and cry because our kids are probably in pain too and there really is no way to not feel it....unless you watch those old martial arts videos where they condition there balls to not feels pain.....kick them there as hard as you want they wont feel it

Well, for me, it doesn't hurt much at all. It's because it's a defense mechanism is what my anatomy teacher said a few weeks ago.

It is because your testicles are hardly protected. All that is protecting them is the scrotum, a thin piece of skin.

I'm pretty resistant myself. We get a lot of pain there because there is a lot of nerves there for stimulation and stuff so yeah...

Well of course it hurts when you get kicked in the balls. Weakness? To me it's when someone acts immature.

Haven't really ever been kicked in the balls before. There was a ball that hit me in the balls before but it hit too fast or something that it didn't really hurt idk... maybe I'm resistant?

I'm the same way when I play soccer. It hurts so much and also my little brother tries to kick me in the balls sometimes and I can't kick him back.

I have been a picture for 7 years for the local baseball league. First yesr I got hit directly in the balls and at that age parents spazed out and took me to hospital and they were badely brused so lots of icebags on groin area. Used a cup and have been hit about 15 times and the cup dents or breakes. I am fine now.

The reason being because the testicles are not "guarded". The skin around they are a LOT more soft. And the testicles have a LOT of nerve endings. I for one can NOT stand getting kicked in the balls, I had to go to the doctors once just because I jumped over a wall and I guess my balls weren't in the right place? Either way it hurt like HELL.

Pain is the body's way of telling you that something is wrong. The testicles start off within the abdomen and descend down during development in the mother's womb or early post-birth. These bring with it nerve endings as they travel. That is why when the testicles are injured, one may get lower abdominal pains and nausea too, because of the way the nerve networks are structured.
The testicles hang outside of the body, with means of regulating temperature to allow sperm to thrive. This makes them particularly vulnerable, as you and many others have gathered... If we didn't get these pain responses, then we wouldn't do anything to remove ourselves from the harmful stimulus! It's just like touching flames at a fireplace. If the receptors which register temperature (thermoreceptors) didn't kick in, then one would might hold their hands over a heater, hang onto a cup of hot water or stand on hot concrete barefooted for longer than is healthy. This is the same with direct trauma with pressure and pain receptors (nociceptors) being activated. This is why so many people drop to the ground and curl up into a ball when they're struck downstairs - it's to minimise any further chance of being hit!
Some people will have different nerve/pain networks than others. It will vary depending on the individual in question. As silly as it sounds, be thankful you have a pain response, otherwise you'd not likely have survived up to now as intact as you are!
