I don't know if it's available in the UK but you guys should have something equivalent. drink a bottle of Pedialyte, it's supposed to be for babies but it works really well for hangovers too :P electrolytes and stuff.

Hm, what I do is sleep in and drink a lot of water, for me this works but I don't really get bad hangovers anyway as I know my drinking limit.

GATORADE does wonders. I've never had a hangover for so long. After a night of drinking, drink 1 bottle of gatorade and you'll be fine the next day.
Another option is a citrus-y drink, sprite or orange juice perhaps.

I found this great trick to not get a hangover at all.
You take a beer, and pour it down the sink. Then drink a glass of chocolate milk. It's amazing, you can drink as much chocolate milk as you want and not get a hangover.

And if you're anything like me, you pour yourself a shot of Captain Morgan in your chocolate milk to have the best beverage you've ever tasted in your life :P
But to the OP, I'd suggest sleeping, drinking Citrus drinks like orange juice, throw a cold wet towel over your forehead, and also try an hydrate yourself with water as often as you can without making yourself sick.
On a side note, if you do choose to drink, be sure to try and drink as much water as you do alcohol, because you will both become less "drunk" after consuming the alcohol, and also you shouldn't suffer from a hangover, or at least the worst of it. Also, try not to drink a large amount of alcohol in a short period of time. I've found that I feel much better if I just have a beer every half hour or an occasional shot every hour, I won't even have much of a hangover compared to when I guzzle it all down.
But remember, the most effective way of preventing a hangover, is by not drinking at all :D

Eat a lot before you gwt intoxicated, but not so much that you'd throw up later. Also, drink large amounts of water. This is all beforehand. The water serves to extinguish the need for a drink later on quite great, so you won't want to drink as much, and the food dilutes the influence. My mom does it when she goes out. My sister taught me this for that first night out. She's an ass.

Anything with vitamins seems to work with me, and now I already feel my hangover coming on. I usually run to gatorade or vitamin-water as soon as it hits me!

What I normally do is before I go to sleep i'll have a bottle or two of water. I normally only wake up with a minor headache, have a tablet and I feel fine enough.

I know you said you feel better now but just for future reference:
1. Drink water as you drink and drink a good amount of water before you go to bed.
2. Identify your limits- some alcohols will make you more hungover for example I can drink very little white rum and still feel awful all the next day but I can drink pints and pints of beer and feel fine.
3. Don't mix drinks, that's the sure way to a hangover.
4. Sleep it off
5. Try and drink plenty of water
6. Try and eat everything
7. Have a shower
8. Try some painkillers such as paracetamol
9. Have something fortified with vitamins e.g. a smoothie.
If you follow all of these steps you should feel a lot better, i've learnt these over the years and now I barely ever get a hangover.

The best thing to do is wait it out and make a mental note not to drink as much again.
Whatever you do, do NOT put any medicine or chemicals(in the form of processed food or carbonated drinks) into your body while still recovering from a hangover. Don't take anything that could stimulate your body further, that includes the caffeine in coffee.
Drink lots of pure water or tea and eat healthy, natural meals. Vegetables, fruit, rice can help.
Just please, whatever you do, do not listen to the people telling you to take painkillers or any other medicine before or during a hangover. There's a reason medicine almost always clearly states not to mix it with drugs, especially alcohol.
