Hey guys, just for any CIV fans out there they've announced a new game, called Civilization Beyond earth, which is a spiritual successor to Sid Miers Alpha Centauri. You play as the people who were on the ship in a science victory in Civ 5, and you get much more customization of units and new combat mechanics, including a new style of tech tree which has multiple entirely separate branches.

I love Civilization, and this looks very appealing to me. I'm interested to see how a new tech-table will work in an outer space setting.

This is pretty much a guaranteed buy from me already, unless they really mess it up.

Seems quite interesting always thought CIV-5 and something more Sci Fi would be a great combo.
