However I wouldn't make it a habit. It's nice to have some stress relief before doing homework but there will be situations where you can't masturbate before doing homework, a test, etc..

Absolutely. If I have something to do that needs concentration but I am horny and it isn't so urgent it has to be done that minute then I'll masturbate first and then I am better able to concentrate.

Do be wary of procrastination though - make sure you don't spend so long masturbating there is no time left to do the homework or other thing you must do.
