How is it that some people are absolutely comfortable having a blade 'down there'? I feel like I'm walking on a plank with sharks waiting underneath whenever I'm trimming my pubic hair. I survived to this day, but did get a cut on my thumb (of all places) once. The cut wasn't exactly noticeable but I'd hate to have that kind of cut on my vagina. So far, I only trim where I can still see with my own eyes. If I got to any spots where I need a mirror, I'd chicken out immediately. I really don't like the look of pubic hair though (they're somehow really gross in my eyes) and I wish I could trim the whole thing down. I've heard of hair-removal lotions, but unfortunately I have sensitive skin. My skin is allergic to silver, rubber, metal and whatever you call that thing they use to make fake jewelries for 3-year-olds in English. Do you think I'd survive hair-removal lotions? How do you get comfortable trimming your hair down there?

I don't use those kind of lotions. I just try to be really careful when trimming. So far I haven't cut myself accidentally ^_^ Your couple can help with the parts you can't see.

Use a mirror if you're uncomfortable going in blind. You can get super sensitive lotions but I don't like the way they smell, make my skin feel and they take ages to work. If you really want to try then buty the most sensitive one you can find but put a small bit on your hand for like 20 mins or so. Then if you do have a reaction it won't be too bad

Why not? Someone you've been with for a week, maybe not. But if it's long-term and serious, you might as well get used to helping each other with the not-so-glamorous side of relationships.

LOL alright thanks for clearing that up. Glad to hear there's the "super sensitive" variaton of hair-removal lotions. Guess I'm gonna have to go with that one because no matter what they don't involve blades! D:

One of the best things I have ever used is a beard trimmer with a guard, it gets it down without nicking yourself.

and what is this "guard" you're speaking of? Sorry, I just never get my hands on a razor and I don't know how to shave D: too scared to do so!

It keeps the blades from getting on the skin and you can determine the length on the hair.

If it scares you so much you could just do what I used to do and just shave the top area of it and make it into a sort of landing strip! I think some barber shops offer the service of shaving your genitals (if you're comfortable with that).

get a shaver used by men which can trim less than 0.5 cms its totally safe and painless. i use my brother's hope he doesn't know i shave my pubic area with it.

Peronal prference I did it just cos of my exes preference but I wouldn't show it him so hat was clumsy of me lol

I... only trim every other week. As you can see from my posts above, trimming SERIOUSLY scares me. So I can't do it too often. I try to make my pubes as short as possible but using scissors instead of razor, it's impossible to make it as short as what I had in mind. I'd say half a cm (in places I can trim with ease) or a few mm more.


You are always welcome to post a survey btw. Just remember that all surveys go to the "questions for both boys and girls" so boys would see it too!

I shave mine but leave a nice little patch on top to play with. I think It looks sexy. Maybe you should try that. It's like an inch or so long. I think it looks hot. :)

the more you shave the easier it gets. ive actually cut my outer lip before OUCH but it takes practice.
