alright, so there's this guy on my block, and i met him last summer. and we've really gotten to know each other, and he really makes me smile. but my problem is he's a few years older than i, and i keep getting things from people telling me to avoid him. but i can't! i see him everywhere, and he makes me happy. he makes me smile even on my worst day, and when i'm with him, i'm really a better person. well, i don't know what to do. i wanna tell him everything. that i like him. he gives off the vibe that he kinda likes me back, but i don't know. another issue, i'm a minor. and considering he's over the age of 18, i think it could get him into some trouble if anything happens. i know nothing will, but he sometimes jokes around about he and i doing "stuff" together, and sometimes, it seems he's so serious about it all.
i don't know what to do....

I dont know your state's specific laws. But, I know where I am, if the person is over 18, and you are not, then it is illegal. But, I believe if you are both over 18, then it is legal. But if he is much older, I would avoid him.

don't do it. doing illegal things like that can get both him and you into trouble. maybe wait til your old enough, and if you like eachother then maybe go for it. but while your a minor, no.

It's not illegal to date him when you're a minor. But, until you're over the age of consent, it is illegal for the two of you to have sexual relations. Even if it is consensual, he could get charged with statutory rape, which could mean a heavy fine, a prison sentence, or a restraining order until you turn 18.
