I'm single and I hate it. As my name suggests I am a computer/gaming nerd. I am an all around good person. But for some reason that I can't explain I am like a girl repellent. If you want to get rid of chicks just call me.... So I'm tired of it. That's why I'm making this post is because i need some help. In my life i have tried about 5 times to court ladies and every time it just fails like a new born trying to walk. I got close once but then the hole thing lit up in a second like the Hindenburg crash. So I looked back at the crash reports and came up with a premise. So I tried my premise and it was the 5th one that worked for a little bit but then.... POOF. :what: So my question is here, what is other peoples ways on courting the gals? So if you have any advice for a nerd trying to get a gal to think of him as not just tech support, please leave a comment.

You probably just need to befriend a nerdier girl. Chances are, she won't care if you're nerdy also.

Don't change your image to impress a girl. I learnt that the hard way. I kind of miss my waist-length hair when I cut it off into a bob for the guy I liked. When you find the right girl you'll know it ^^

How old are you, love? Please remember that we are all youngsters. Many years ahead of us! :) who knows maybe it's just your current social environment. Seriously though I second SoFarAway; you might want to search for a nerdy girl. Is there any gamer community near you or stuffs like that?

The biggest thing, from a girl, own the fact that you are a nerd.
My boyfriend has to be the nerdiest guy I know. He started a business as a sophomore fixing people's computers, when he's not doing that or around me he's working on his Subaru's. He's a nerd, but I love him for it. I don't think I'd say that I'm super nerdy, but he definitely doesn't hide that he is nerdy at all. I love that about him. He owns the fact that he's a nerd, he embraces it and lets that be him. If you just be yourself, the you that you are most comfortable with, the rest will come. You just have to let it happen!

A place where potential lucky gals swarm. Where are them clubs? If there's none IRL, join an online forum of your interest and set a meet-up with local folks. Surely at least there'd be ONE girl, right?

to be honest, you're 17, most girls at that age are super shallow and want super "bad guys". Maybe you're approaching the wrong type of girls? either way, I assure you things will get better once people start to mature more and realize that jerks are not the way to go. For now though, broaden your horizon. Join a bunch of different activities( ones that you like) and you'll meet a bunch of girls who are similar to you.

I am standing proud at the fact that I am a nerd. I love being a nerd. And I also have a part time job building/fixing computers for people. That is why my user name is Alpha Nerd.
