I got in a debate with my class about life. I said there is no such thing as black and white questions. There is always a grey area. Nothing in life is definite.
Please explain if you agree or disagree. Cause I want to understand others views.

I almost always agree with this statement. It’s particularly applicable Ben I see people either denouncing or praising historical figures as either heroes or villains. The true answer is usually not one or the other, but, as you say, in a somewhat grey area.

I agree most things are not black and white. There can be cases where some peoples answers are at the extremes (so are black or white). And are some things that are just yes or no

I think there are grey areas with most things because everyone has a different viewpoint and reasons for doing certain things and it's difficult to see sometimes. Like you could say that a person should not have done a certain thing. I also don't think people do things just because of one specific reason but lots of reasons that sometimes cause them trouble and pain- like they may not be sure themselves what to do until the very point they make a decision.
So I don't think there's an answer to a lot of problems in the world, it's just that sometimes a decision has to be made and people will always judge you for that and say it was wrong, even though it was a hard choice for the person as well.

Sure, like when it comes to perspectives and experiences, people are always gonna come from different places.
But with more science and fact based stuff, there is no room for grey. Like.... the flat earthers or whatever. I mean c'mon.

That true. Everyone knows the Earth is flat lol . But even in science there are still grey areas, string theory, alternative realities, dark matter... all things that we know in theory but no solid facts and lots of varying ideas

I kinda agree there’s not always a definite answer to a question or a situation, I guess it can be like a loophole in rules there’s always away round it, that might not have anything to do with been black or white though.

I think you are completely right. With lots of things there's lots of grey areas in the middle

If you insist on putting it in terms of colours, then everything could be said to be grey, because we all witness, create or interpret everything around us from our own standpoint.
It's almost the same as asking whether everything is right or wrong. Again, it depends on your viewpoint. But right and wrong are often determined by society, religion, custom or law-makers so that we at least have guidelines, whereas determining black or white are totally personal choices.
