Anyone tried this What happens when you stare into a mirror for too long?
There may be other potential paths that light can take to different parts of the universe and back and hence, create an alternate reflection in the mirror. When we stare in the mirror continuously for a long time, we see changes in reflection and that according to quantum physics may be alternate reality. Some say they see monsters, few see strangers, and the majority claims their face distorts.

We might just get dizzy falling in love with ourselves. You could probably also stare at a closed door for long and suddenly the straight lines start to sway.

Its probably because when you stare at something other parts of your vision become less processed by your eyes. It's how optical illusions work
