Better sequels

I watched Rise of the Planet of the Apes and it was okay.
I watched Dawn of the Planet of the Apes and it was good.
I watched War for the Planet of the Apes and it was GREAT!!

Rare to see a second movie better than the first and rarer still for third movie to be best.

What sequels have you found to be best??

Ok, I know this is a cliche, but as we all know, The Empire Strikes Back owns A New Hope. Like, duh! :P

Also, I like Lethal Weapon 2 better than 1, as I recently mentioned in the movie thread. :)

I want to say Evil Dead 2 over Evil Dead, but they are both such different movies. The first one was horror, while the second one was more of a comedy, so depends on which genre you enjoy more.

Speaking of The Godfather though, I'm probably one of the very few who doesn't prefer 2 over 1. xD

That's weird, I've seen the same thing on Netflix as well. Hope you'll get to see it some day, it's fun. :)

The second Spiderman (2004) is better than the first one.

Shrek 2 is also better than the first Shrek movie in my opinion.

I like them both equally, honestly. Alien is a better "film" - if you're going for the artsy fartsy point of view. But it is super suspenseful and spooky. Aliens is also suspenseful and scary, but has alot more action.

Aliens was better than alien. T2 was better, the godfather, I liked the 3rd indiana Jones movie the best, the 2nd pirate's of the Caribbean, the last couple avengers movies were better, two towers and return of the king.

I agree about Fury Road!! That movie kicked ass! I have also seen the first Mad Max but not any of the in betweens tho

Also i liked Attack of Clones more than Phantom Menace.
