Hey everyone!
I was wondering how you realised you were bi or gay/lesbian?
I'm very attracted to boys. I have very strong feelings towards my boyfriend both emotionally and sexually, so I know I'm not lesbian.
BUT I actually cannot tell if I am more than just 'bi-curious'.
I get very very turned on by girls, as much as I do by guys. However, I couldn't imagine myself being in an actual relationship with a girl, but doing physical things, yes.
I've never actually done anything with another girl to even see if I enjoy it as much as I think I would. I would totally be up for it but I literally know nobody else who would.
Anyone have any opinions or advice?
Thanks!

How did I realise? In the pool with a friend.
You dont need to be in a relationship with a girl to be bisexual, only sex is required. Since girls turn you on, I think that you're bi, though you're still realising it.
good luck :)

Somewhere between curious and bi I guess. I realized what I was when me and my long time best buddy started making out.

You are on the older side of the teen years, although puberty does actually extend into early adulthood unlike commonly thought. I would be more prone to think your sexuality will be settling out right about now.
But I'll talk a bit about a little difference between men and women: men are turned on specifically by looking at the sex they are attracted to. That being, straight men tend to like straight porn and lesbian porn. Women are more likely to be turned on by a wider variety of porn, including lesbian, gay, straight porn, even in some cases animal, etc. regardless of their sexuality. Women are naturally more prone to be bi-curious than men. There is an appreciation we have for the female body that you can't truly find in men.
I always have to mention that sexuality is a spectrum. You could very well be heteroromantic bisexual. That's a very real thing.
I whole-heartedly thought I was straight before I realized I was into girls, and I realized this actually really late in my life. But I think it was because I had never considered homosexuality an option. It started a couple months after I met my now-girlfriend and admitted to myself I had fallen head-over-heels for her. I have never seen a woman, nay, human being so gorgeous in every way before. But then immediately after, the floodgates were opened, I started noticing women and crushing so hard and now I can't even imagine being with a man again. When I look into my future, even if it isn't with my current other half, I'm 100% sure I'm with a woman. To be fair, when I was young my crushes on men were very few and far between compared to my peers, but now they're practically unheard of.
Also, I'll admit a little secret I haven't yet shared. A person's taste in porn might reflect their inner sexual fantasies, but it in no-way represents what they would like to physically do with a partner. Like I said, many straight women like lesbian porn, although I don't hear about many straight men who like gay porn, but I'm sure they're out there. I can't stand lesbian porn. They're all too fake and unattractive, have no idea what they're doing, and don't seem to be enjoying it at all (lol, women and their obsession with porn being "authentic"). Save a select few of excellent lesbian and straight videos, I'm actually most turned on by gay male porn, and that's quite a commonly heard of thing among gay females. But anywhere else I find naked men rather repulsive. Also, I like the idea of really rough, dominant-submissive scenarios in theory, but I wouldn't ever think about being anything but sensual and gentle with a partner. Sexual fantasy and real-life sexuality can be totally separate from each other and you might pay attention to that to see if that's the case for you.

I think "Bisexual heteroromantic" would be a good thing to say if you understand that. Me finding about these other words is what I needed to finally have a better understanding :kitty:
