Yea, these beginning episodes don't do it justice. Feels like typical teen drama stuff. But the latter half introduces some real moral complexity and the show really starts to find itself. :)

I really liked how unique it was. I mean obviously not the teens have to survive together part because like 90% of dramas are like that but how the earth was uninhabitable and they lived on an ark, I thought that was unique.
