I've only read one of them, and it was Animal Farm. Haven't ever heard of probably 75% of them tbh

Ah the very old animation? I think that may have been the first animated feature film to come out of Britain! (That may be wrong though)

Yes, I'm not sure exactly when it's from, but it's quite old, yes. :) We watched it in class a couple of years ago.

animal farm movie animated
It is an adaptation of the 1945 George Orwell novel of the same name and tells the story of anthropomorphic animals successfully revolting against their own human owner, only to slide into a more brutal tyranny among themselves.

Yeah it's the '45 version I've seen. Heh, "Pig brother is watching you". I see what they did there. :P

Yes, it's quite a short book but very good I think you can read it in only a few days (if there's a translation into Norwegian...)

Strange seeing "The Animal Farm" on the list.
I'd rather categorize it as a parable-like fable based on Aesop's tales, hmm, just spiced with a bit of cynical, socially critical curry. At least it would be better fit as social fiction, as 1984 fits in both of those shoes.

I’ve not read.. Jesus. Any of them. Not one. I’m reading Dangerous Visions rn, so I do suppose your list here has backed up my reading order for quite a while after. Not as into SF books tbh, I’ve found them very hot and miss, so I’m not as well read in the genre as I’d like to be.

I'm really not a fan of Science Fiction books. But, I have read several my the most acclaimed sci-fi authors.
Sir Arthur Clarke - "2001 - A Space Odyssey"
George Orwell - "1984"
Isaac Asimov - "Foundation Trilogy"
Ray Bradberry _ "Fahrenheit 451"
Jules Verne - Several of his novels.
Robert Heinlein _ "Stranger In A Strange Land"
I also consider Tolkien and Rowling novels "fantasy" science fiction.

science fiction is something that could happen - but usually you wouldn't want it to. Fantasy is something that couldn't happen - though often you only wish that it could.” — Arthur C. Clarke

Please explain to me how The Lord Of The Rings And Harry Potter, *could* happen

Your point is well taken. I do realize that those novels "could not" happen. In my post I should have clarified the comment by saying "fantasy science fiction". I stand corrected.

Fair enough. I’m still fascinated by the inclusion of science.. is it because it’s speculative fiction, because it doesn’t seem to quite qualify for science fantasy?

of those...?
Animal Farm and The Invisible Man...which I wouldn't even really consider to be science fiction.

I've read Clockwork Orange, Animal Farm, and Flowers for Algernon.
It's kind of a weird list, with a bunch of books I've never heard of, and missing some of the most famous classics, like Fahrenheit 451 or the Foundation series.
