Perception dictates reality, not belief. It depends on what reality we’re talking about, too. Objective reality is everything that would exist weather or not we see it, in the only ways it can exist. Subjective reality is everything we see, interpreted by our perception, only limited by our perception and cognitive thinking skills. If something is only a certain way but your perception tells you it’s another, subjectively ur interpretation matters, objectively all that matters is what the how the thing is regardless of people observing it.

Ah, but the sweets are still there and real, whether I think they are red or not. I think it's really interesting that humans and chimpanzees evolved colour vision so they can pick the ripe berries from the trees. If you are colour blind you don't get as many tasty berries! I think boys are more likely than girls to be colour blind.

Yeah that's true. And also cool that other animals can see stuff we can't, like infrared light, or sensing heart beats. Theres a whole lot of what's around us we don't notice

Haha yeah, its something like the electric produced from the heart when it beats they can detect. So the crafty little fish that's its prey has to stop all movement (because every muscle produces a little electric) until the fish goes past, and as everyone who's tried holding there breath knows, it only last a time before you need take a breath.

This is a very good question, however the answer to it might be disappointing and quite terrifying. Unfortunately, there is no way to prove a reality - we can be sure that we exist for 100%, that this Universe exists 100% and that things we already know are actually real. Besides - what exactly is reality? You can't get a wrong answers here. A mentally ill patient's reality are the voices, delusions and hallucinations - they are part of his reality. How do you know that YOU are not, in fact, in a mental asylum and this whole reality is simply a part of your dream/delusion you can't get rid of? If a person would spend enough time thinking about these things - it will for sure take away that person's sanity. The reason why we don't think much about this stuff is because we live in our comfort zones and we don't like threatening our comfort with such deep, existential questions.
