Written in Greek by the only Roman emperor who was also a philosopher, without any intention of publication, the Meditations of Marcus Aurelius offer a remarkable series of challenging spiritual reflections and exercises developed as the emperor struggled to understand himself and make sense of the universe. While the Meditations were composed to provide personal consolation and encouragement, Marcus Aurelius also created one of the greatest of all works of philosophy: a timeless collection that has been consulted and admired by statesmen, thinkers and readers throughout the centuries.

Has anyone read it yet?
I just order the translation version by Gregory Hays

I have not read it, but i do own it. My dad studied greek for a number of years so we have a lot of books/texts written in greek. Regrettably, my greek reading isn't amazing so i might have to wait until we also own a translated copy.

No doubt meditation plays a great role in evolving inner peace, you can make yourself more open for nature, love and kind by removing the negativity in yourself, here meditation plays a great role in removing that negativity.

My favorite "Meditations" quote:

"A person's worth is measured by the worth of what he values".

Ive never really read them in depth but have liked the odd quote or writer referencing them.

Would be good to know what you think of the book once you have read it~!
