Position won't change if it hurts or not, lube and learning to relax as well as stretching it out with your fingers will help more. But generally doggy is easiest.

Also, if you stand up after penetration while doing doggy style (it's harder for him to go in when you're standing), he can't thrust as deep, so it will not hurt as much, if you're feeling overwhelmed. (I hope that's not too much along the lines of technique- technically standing is just a position)

Er, usually you're bending during doggy style while your partner comes in from behind? Unless I'm missing something, which would be kind of unusual. You just slowly stand back up. Takes practice, though.

A little fact about my sex life, I used to do anal and oral sex before vaginal sex, as I wanted to remain a virgin for awhile. However I felt little pleasure from anal sex, it could give me an orgasm once in awhile, but mostly it's just uncomfortable.

I wouldn't say I prefer it, but i've done it quite often. Pretty much agree with what all the others have said - you've gotta lube lube lube. Doggy is the easiest and least painful way but missionary can be fun too :-)
