It was not your fault and it was Not normal.
Whether it was a member of your family or
someone else u were manipulated into it and
if it haunts you still you need to find someone
to talk things over with.

Sexual assault is more common than you may think and it's not uncommon for the victim to blame him/herself. My advice to you is to go find someone you can talk to about this.

I can't say that I'm an expert. I've only recently been coming to terms with my past sexual abuse, but from my experience what you described is normal. I’ve only just started calling what happened to me sexual abuse. It started for me when I was 5 and basically continued in some way until just a couple of months ago. Much like what ska8er said I was manipulated into thinking what was happening was normal and was rewarded for it.

Now I see a therapist and all that manipulation that warped my way of thinking is being undone and I can see what was really going own, and not only was I being sexually abused but so was my little brother. I'm still struggling to not see that as my fault but therapy is helping.

Look. The whole point of this long post is that I thought it was normal too, but its not. You need to reach out to a trusted adult. See a therapist. They can help you heal. I've still got a long ways to go through mine but I can say I'm so glad I've started. Already the future is looking brighter.

Never your fault, there is no excuse for sexual assault so no such thing as fault or blame with it on part of the victim
Also at 11, so your abuser is responsible for multiple crimes
