Even though I am still in eighth grade, I was selected to take a highschool-level Algebra class. Even though I am horrible at Algebra, I've managed to stay "afloat" in this class for the entire school year. The only reason I've decided to stay in this class is because at the end of the year we'd take an exam that we would need to pass in order to graduate from highschool. Now, for most of the year, I've gotten decent grades, but right now I am literally failing. But, there's a couple of weeks left until we take the exam. Plus, one of my friends in this class is begging me to stay in the class with her because she claims that I am the last friend she has in this class. Please help me make the right choice!

Keep working at it. Math just takes a lot of work, but it is one of the most valuable skills ever to learn. The possibilities with it are infinite.

Stay in there and help each other out in the remaining time.

Okay! I'll put forth my best effort during the next 2-3 weeks I have left in the class!

Just stick with it if you think you'll be able to..

I'm currently in a slight similar situation like this with my friend as she's considering going on to the next 2 years of art college, wants me to go with her and I'm still debating because there are some issues in my head I need to somehow sort out before I think about staying there. I need to ask her more about her disabilities because she's SO MUCH like me and asking other people I know about their problems is the only way I'll find out more about mine. I've told her there's an 80% chance I'll be staying, but as usual I need to sort out these messes in my head first :kitty:

In this case though I would probably try to tough it out, as from my knowledge I was the only autistic person in my yeargroup (out of 5 or 6) to be in the top 2 sets for any/every subject. I did a lot better than most other people because I stuck to it and was always put in the higher groups. I was only in top set for English, and even though I found it quite hard I still passed. Obviously I don't really know how it works in America though, but most people in my college group failed their GCSEs and so they have to do an extra year with some maths and english lessons included. I only went on to that course because of a random panic in the interview for the higher level, and I'm glad I did because I made more friends. If it impacts you having to stay another year if you fail, go down to the group you think you'll do best in; in most cases I don't think I've been the kind of person to stay with my friends because they'll be lonely. I mostly always feel lonely so it's no difference to me.

Although.. 2-3 weeks. I don't really understand, but if it's only that long surely you're better off trying to stay where you are now?
