A little over three months ago, I got a new phone. It’s an iPhone 11 Pro if that helps. Over that time, I have not had literally any problems with the phone other than the fact that I cannot receive automated texts for some reason.

Something that confuses me is that when I am filling out something, like an online job application, for example it has an auto fill option for my phone number. However, the phone number that it auto fills is different from my actual phone number.

The phone number it auto fills is a number that I’ve had no affiliations with. I’ve never had it or used it.

Regarding the automatic texts issue, it occurs whenever I am prompted to request a one-time passcode for security reasons, for text disclosures with certain companies or a bank, etc. — Pretty much anything SMS/automatic texts.

I’m legit confused because I’ve never had this issue before and I’m thinking about going to my T-Mobile store which is my cell service.

Is this a simple fix or...? Thanks in advanced! I’m not great at technology!

I'm not sure why that's happening, but I would suggest going to your cell provider or an Apple store to try and figure it out. Never heard of that issue

Maybe try reset the phone back to factory settings, but remember to back up everything you Want to keep

I'd say there probably some preference or settings that control them. I agree back everything up just to be safe, and see if your provider has any ideas, they might know or they might just say to try a factory reset, which ever it's best before you do anything to know all your stuff is safe

Double check your Apple ID profile and make sure it’s up to date.
