We can watch movies now, at least where i live. This weekend a theater not far from me is showing the original Ghostbusters, which would be amazing to watch on a big screen!!! But...... I decided not to go. Even with the social distancing, mask mandate and other precautions in place, idk. I am still not comfortable with the idea, especially since even back during normal times other moviegoers have been terrible at following rules sometimes.
What about you? Are you comfortable with the idea of going to a movie theater again?

Hell no. I feel the same way about this that I do about sitting down in a restaurant right now. Multiple people sit in those seats every day, and who knows when they actually disinfect them. If they even do it at all

They're open again here as well, but just like you, I'm not comfortable with it idea yet.

they're still not open here, have no idea when they will be. But I will totally be going to see some movies once they open again.

I think they will open here next month, not sure what they will play though, New Mutants I bet.

I'm comfortable doing anything I'm allowed to do. Cinemas are open here but I haven't been yet, just because it's a bit of a distance away so I'd have to pay for the bus and there aren't any films I want to see that much.

I think as long as you are wearing a mask and clean your hands you should be fine. That's the only way you are going to catch it, unless someone comes up and coughs/sneezes into your eye

Ours are not open yet, but there's no way I'd go to a movie theater yet. I know people that work at one(at least they worked there precovid) and I wouldn't trust them to do a thorough cleaning of anything. Not safe.

Ours are still closed. They may open in September if the virus cases go down.

There are drive-ins open, but no theaters to my knowledge. I wouldn't be comfortable going to a theater, anyways

One of the theater chains here is renting out theaters for $150, letting you pick from a list of movies to watch and bring a maximum of 20 people in. About 12 of us got together a couple weeks ago, pooled our money, and coincidentally picked Ghostbusters. That was fine but I doubt I'd go to a theater that was 50% full of the general public right now though even though I love going to the movies.
