Instagram has been moved from the “acceptable” to the “unacceptable” section of the VT rules. (https://www.virtualteen.org/forums/faq.php?faq=rules) This means that you must not share links to your Instagram profile (and all apps similar) anywhere public on VT. This is in order to enhance user safety on the site, and also to create consistency in regards to sharing social media.
Please remember that if someone asks you for any off site contact or social media in a private message, remember you should not feel obligated to do so. It is ok for you to share social media over a private message, but not on the public forums (such as posts, signatures and visitor messages.) If you feel as though someone is harassing you for your social media, or if something inappropriate happens on social media with another VT member, then please get in touch with a member of staff.
