I am looking to get this book, but I do not know which translation is good. So if you have read it and remember the translator post it here.

Wow, Jaret, you are into some really DEEP philosophical reading.

There are probably hundreds of different translations out there. Which of them is better than the other is in the mind of the reader.

Now I’m curious....so how many languages do you know?

I have not yet read it, but the copy I recently purchased is the Christopher Gill translation. It also includes commentary, which is helpful and something I look for in the works like this.

It's a good read especially if you like extemporaneous speeches on a variety of philosophic subjects. It's all drama. But it's Plato at his best, IMHO.
