Yeah I have experienced that when it is so very hard that it hurts a bit. That is caused when your body really puts a lot of blood to your penis.

It’s more like it hurts from being too hard. Like it’s stretching or arching back too much.

It is possible for two reasons.
You can get extremely excited and hard and you body is not used to it.
Or your penis was not in a proper position when you were sleeping and it became hard.

Oh yeah it does but I wouldn’t call it a “pain”- “discomfort” is probably a better fit here. For me, morning woods are among the hardest erections I ever get so I might not be used to such blood pressure down there. Also, at times my foreskin does not retract by it self and I have to pull it back manually. That helps reduce the weird pressing feeling too.

For me, I experienced this condition when I first began puberty. I would wake up in the middle of the night with a raging boner. It throbbed like a sore thumb. I couldn't figure out what had brought it on. I guess that I must have had a sexual dream and woke up before it became a wet dream. Also, I would get one when I was aroused by something sexual and couldn't get any relief by jerking off. This happened usually in middle school and when I rode home on the school bus. Sometimes mine can hurt because it's constrained in certain clothing, or sometimes it happens if it's really hard. Doesn't really bother me that much I just keep on with my life.
